Zohran Mamdani, a skilled communicator who pulled off the improbable by winning the New York mayoral election, revealed a surprising detail: he’s a big Arsenal fan, and not just casually. He even name-drops some of the club’s more obscure players.
“Every morning when I wake up, I think about Sébastien Squillaci, Pascal Cygan… and also Marouane Chamakh,” he said after receiving congratulations from two former Gunners, Ian Wright and Hector Bellerin.
