A key figure at PSG, Marquinhos dropped a small bombshell during the 2025 RTL Sport Trophy ceremony. At 31, the Parisian captain revealed his desire to become… French. A powerful and symbolic statement from a player who has embodied the capital club for more than a decade.

Like Thiago Silva before him, the Brazilian wants to take the next step. “My wife has already applied, and I’m going to do it too,” he revealed. A choice of both heart and life, for a player who feels at home in Paris and wants to formalize his deep bond with France.
