Good news for FC Barcelona. After nearly a month of absence, Ronald Araujo returned to training this Monday.

Ronald Araujo is feeling better. The Uruguayan defender, who has been away from the pitch since his red card against Chelsea in the Champions League (loss 3-0 on November 25), had taken a step back to recharge mentally.

Heavily criticized after that match, the Blaugrana vice-captain had received a break from the club with no specific duration. He took the opportunity to make a spiritual trip to Jerusalem before returning to Uruguay to refocus.

Araujo will decide if he wants to play again and when

Now back in Barcelona, Araujo is gradually getting back into rhythm. It remains to be seen if he will be fit for the derby against Espanyol this Saturday (9 PM).

According to Mundo Deportivo, no return date has been set: the player will decide for himself, in agreement with the staff, when he feels ready, both physically and mentally.
