Manchester United is preparing to accelerate the appointment of its new interim coach. The club is now hesitating between two former players: Michael Carrick and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, both of whom have met with the management and presented their plans.
It has come down to two! According to Sky Sports, Manchester United is now considering these two names to replace Ruben Amorim until the end of the season. Both are former players of the club.
Carrick has reportedly made a particularly strong impression during these interviews, although Solskjaer’s popularity with the club and supporters remains a significant factor. A final decision is expected after further discussions in the coming days.

In the meantime, Darren Fletcher, currently in a temporary position, confirmed after the defeat against Brighton in the FA Cup (2-1) that his mission is coming to an end. He is set to go to the Carrington training center on Monday to learn about the next steps the club wishes to take regarding his role.
