Qualified for the Coupe de France round of 16 after their 2–1 win in Lille, Olympique Lyonnais are clearly showing their ambitions. Captain Corentin Tolisso did not hide his desire to go all the way.
Speaking to beIN Sports, the Lyon midfielder highlighted the positive momentum: “We showed some good things technically and in terms of fighting spirit. We have to keep going. We played two big matches in 2026 and we won them. That bodes well for what’s next, but we must not relax.”
A clear ambition for a long-awaited trophy
Tolisso also embraced the objective: “We’re qualified for the round of 16, OL want to win a trophy, so why not this year with the Coupe de France.”
Without a title since 2012, Lyon see the Coupe de France as the shortest path to finally adding silverware to their trophy cabinet.
