Installed at the helm of Arsenal for six years despite a difficult start, Mikel Arteta is now seen as a model for many coaches.
As the League Cup clash against the Gunners approaches on Wednesday (9 PM), Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior expressed his admiration for the Spaniard’s journey and his desire to enjoy such stability himself.
“Yes, I would love to be here for six years or more. But I know that to achieve that, I have to win. Every club has a different project, and the word ‘project’ is often used in football. But the idea in every project is to try to win every match. I have ideas about what I want the team to look like in one, two, or three years. But I have enough resources and tools now to win, and I have clearly told the players.”
“Arteta has had time to build”
“Mikel has done an incredible job. He has had time to build the team as he wanted. They are very well organized,” explained the former Strasbourg coach.
However, on the Chelsea side, patience is not necessarily a widely held virtue among the BlueCo shareholders, which makes this scenario still far from certain.
