According to The Touchline, Lionel Messi is not ruling out the option of skipping the next World Cup if he does not feel physically 100% fit. The final decision will depend solely on his condition when the time comes.

The outlet also reports that the Argentine forward believes the competitive level of MLS is not high enough to ensure optimal preparation for a World Cup. He therefore considers that only perfect physical condition could offset that context.
