Greek Court Upholds Guilt in Appeal Case
However, the Greek court ultimately found him guilty of the charges against him and issued a fifteen-month suspended prison sentence, according to information reported by Sky Sports.
The player’s lawyer has nevertheless announced his intention to take the case to the Greek Supreme Court in order to challenge the decision.
The events date back to August 2020. While on vacation in Mykonos, Harry Maguire was arrested following an altercation involving his brother and a friend outside a bar. According to Greek police, the three British men violently resisted arrest by pushing and hitting three officers. Maguire spent two nights in custody before being released and has maintained his innocence since the beginning of the case.
