Pressure is mounting at Real Madrid after the 1–0 defeat against Getafe. While Jürgen Klopp’s name had been circulating as a potential option to revive the club, the path leading to the German coach now appears to be fading, while the possibility of Massimiliano Allegri is gaining increasing momentum.
Between the injuries to Kylian Mbappé and Rodrygo, growing criticism aimed at Florentino Pérez, and a series of disappointing results, the atmosphere in Madrid has become tense. Appointed in January to replace Xabi Alonso, interim manager Alvaro Arbeloa has struggled to convince, and his future on the Real Madrid bench already seems uncertain.
Massimiliano Allegri emerging as a serious option for next season
Once considered the ideal solution, Jürgen Klopp is reportedly no longer in advanced discussions with Real Madrid. According to several Spanish media outlets, the former Liverpool manager is instead looking toward Atlético Madrid as a potential destination to succeed Diego Simeone.
Such a move would be particularly explosive in the Spanish capital, as the German coach had long been presented as the perfect profile to revive the Merengue.
In this context, Real Madrid is now seriously studying the possibility of appointing Massimiliano Allegri next summer. According to the Italian press, the former Juventus manager and current AC Milan coach is among the preferred options being considered by the club’s leadership.
