Kombouaré Keeps Future at Paris FC Uncertain

Uncertainty surrounds the future of Antoine Kombouaré at Paris FC. Under contract until the end of the 2025–2026 season, the coach benefits from an automatic extension if the club remains in Ligue 1. However, the manager does not want to rely solely on that clause.

Speaking to L’Équipe, the former FC Nantes coach explained that his future will mainly depend on how both sides feel. “Yes, but it will come down to the feeling on both sides. With the shareholder, with whom there is mutual respect and appreciation, we agreed that we would review things at the end of the season. If they feel they need something different, there will be no problem. I can also say thank you and goodbye,” the Kanak said on Saturday.

Kombouaré Still Motivated to Continue Coaching

Kombouaré nevertheless insists he wants to keep coaching, provided he feels the trust of those around him. “I want to work, enjoy myself and continue coaching. I want to feel people’s trust. If that’s no longer the case, I won’t hold it against them,” he added.

For now, Paris FC appears relatively safe. The capital club currently sits 13th in Ligue 1, with an eight-point lead over AJ Auxerre, who are 16th and in the relegation playoff spot. However, the end of the season could still prove decisive for the future of the Parisian coach.
