Kylian Mbappé wanted to reassure everyone about his physical condition. Speaking at an event in Paris, the Real Madrid forward stated that he has fully recovered from his knee injury, while also criticizing the speculation surrounding his visit to the French capital.

Mbappé is doing just fine. Present at a keynote for the company Alan, of which he is now a partner, Kylian Mbappé shared reassuring updates following his left knee sprain. The French striker claims he has recovered “100%” after a month on the sidelines. He also expressed regret over the many rumors surrounding his injury, pointing to the realities of being a high-profile athlete.

Mbappé addresses rumors and recovery process

“My knee? It’s doing very well. I know there has been a lot of speculation, a lot of things said that aren’t true. It’s the life of a top-level athlete and a public figure—people can say things without verifying them and it doesn’t matter, it never has any consequences… I’ve gotten used to it. But I’m fine, I’ve recovered 100%. I was lucky to find the right diagnosis when I returned to Paris, and together we were able to find the best plan to get back to my best level, to be in shape for the end of the season with Real Madrid and the World Cup.”

Mbappé also reflected on his time in Paris, which had raised questions. He explained that he wanted to deepen the diagnosis to precisely understand the source of his pain. By multiplying consultations and analyses, he ultimately found clear answers—something he considers essential for an optimal return to competition.

“I wanted to know everything about my knee,” he said. “During my stay in Paris a few weeks ago, I took that step because I wanted to be extremely thorough. We were talking about the end of the season with Real Madrid, a World Cup, a career, and even well-being. It was something that was bothering me, I really wanted to understand what I had. I went through a lot of tests and appointments with competent professionals who gave me the opportunity to know exactly what was wrong. Just knowing reassures you. I was in a situation where I didn’t understand why my knee hurt. Simply knowing gives you direction—it’s a step forward, the first stage toward recovery.”

Now reassured and fully fit, the captain of the French national team is looking ahead to the end of the season with Real Madrid and the upcoming World Cup. His goal is clear: to reach peak form at the decisive moment, having removed all doubts about his knee.
