Chelsea Already Sack Liam Rosenior, It’s Official

Chelsea FC have announced the departure of their head coach Liam Rosenior, a decision made despite the club acknowledging his work and professionalism since his mid-season arrival.

It didn’t last very long. Liam Rosenior is no longer Chelsea’s manager, just a few months after being somewhat forcefully recruited from Strasbourg. The club emphasized that this decision “was not taken lightly,” but recent results and performances fell short of expectations, with key objectives still at stake.

Chelsea Facing Another Coaching Transition

“On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, we would like to place on record our gratitude to Liam and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the Club. Liam has always conducted himself with the highest integrity and professionalism following his appointment midway through the season. This has not been a decision the Club has taken lightly, however recent results and performances have fallen below the necessary standards with still so much more to play for this season. Everyone at Chelsea FC wishes Liam every success in the future,” Chelsea said in an official statement.

While awaiting the appointment of a new manager, Calum McFarlane will take charge on an interim basis until the end of the season, with the mission of securing European qualification and continuing the club’s FA Cup campaign.

Chelsea also stated their intention to carefully reflect in order to stabilize the managerial position and make the right long-term choice… or once again rush into a decision and dismiss the coach a few months later.
