Mendy relapses again. The verdict is in, and the Real Madrid statement is unequivocal: “our player Ferland Mendy has been diagnosed with a tendon injury in the rectus femoris muscle of his right leg. His condition will be closely monitored,” the club announced. As a result, his season is already over, with the added threat of surgery.

Behind this relapse, his future is also in question. Under contract until 2028, Mendy is no longer seen as fully reliable internally. For Mendy, it could also mean the end at the club: a transfer is no longer ruled out once he returns.
