Olympique Lyonnais are still dreaming of a major transfer coup this summer. Despite the club’s difficult financial situation, Lyon’s management continue to closely monitor Jonathan David as they look to strengthen their attack.
Following Endrick’s return to Real Madrid after his loan spell, OL are actively searching for a new striker. According to Le Progrès, Jonathan David remains one of the top priorities for the club’s decision-makers.
Lyon Facing Huge Financial Obstacle
However, the deal looks extremely complicated. After joining Juventus less than a year ago following his departure from LOSC Lille, the Canadian international has struggled to fully convince in Serie A. Even so, Juventus are reportedly unwilling to let their striker leave cheaply.
The biggest issue is obviously the transfer fee. With David valued at around €35 million, it is difficult to imagine Olympique Lyonnais spending such an amount. A loan move would be the ideal solution for Lyon, but in Turin, that option is reportedly not being seriously considered.
