Vinicius Jr has shut down rumors of tension between himself and Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid. Despite reports in the Spanish media claiming both players want to be the club’s number one star, the Brazilian insists everything is perfectly fine between them.
According to Vinicius, there is no conflict involving Mbappé inside the Real Madrid dressing room. “Kylian is a good guy. In Brazil, people kept this image of him as a ‘bad person’, but whenever we can, we try to spend time together off the pitch and do things as friends. Camavinga has also been one of my best friends here at Real Madrid. I’ve always had a good relationship with Mbappé,” he explained.
Vinicius Praises Mbappé’s Impact
“I sent him a lot of messages back then to convince him to come and play with us. We still haven’t managed to play the way we want or win the trophies the fans expect, but I believe that in the near future we will turn the situation around,” Vinicius added.
The Brazilian winger continued his praise for the French superstar: “He has always been a good guy with me, he has always defended me in his interviews. After the Benfica match, he defended me in that racism situation. He’s a great player, he already won a World Cup and scored three goals in a World Cup final.”
“He’s a legendary player who is going to define an era at Real Madrid and who is already leaving his mark on modern football,” Vinicius concluded.
