Saudi Arabia has not given up on the idea of signing Raphinha. According to Mundo Deportivo, Saudi giants Al Hilal and Al Nassr are preparing a massive move in an attempt to convince FC Barcelona to sell their Brazilian winger this summer.
The Saudi clubs are reportedly ready to submit an opening offer worth around €80 million. Such a significant proposal could force Barcelona’s hierarchy to consider their options, especially given the club’s ongoing focus on financial opportunities despite Raphinha’s importance to the squad.
Saudi Clubs Prepare Major Offer
To persuade the former Rennes star, both Saudi teams are also prepared to make an extraordinary salary offer. Raphinha could receive a contract that would see him earn nearly four times his current wages in Catalonia.
The question remains whether the Brazilian international will be tempted by such an offer. Under contract until 2028, the 29-year-old recently stated that he still sees himself wearing the Barcelona shirt for “many years” to come.
With 21 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions this season, Raphinha remains one of Barcelona’s key attacking figures. At this stage, there is no indication that the club is actively considering a sale. However, the prospect of earning four times his current salary in what many would view as a lucrative late-career move is bound to make any player approaching his thirties think twice.
