In a documentary broadcast by ZDF, the German midfielder revealed details about the summer of 2024, a period when his future at Bayern Munich appeared highly uncertain.

At the time, Kimmich was seriously considering leaving the Bavarian club. “I was 95% sure I wouldn’t extend my contract,” he explained, believing Bayern were not doing everything possible to keep him. “I had the feeling that Bayern were completely willing to let me leave,” the German international admitted.
