The French national team has not yet played its first match of the 2026 World Cup, but some players already have a clear idea of what they will do once the tournament comes to an end.
France’s stars are already thinking about their summer break, with Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé reportedly planning everything in advance. Didier Deschamps’ men will begin their World Cup campaign against Senegal on Tuesday before facing Iraq and Norway. If they enjoy a successful run, Les Bleus could remain in the United States until the final on July 19 in New York.
Mbappé and Dembélé’s Post-Tournament Plans
According to RTL journalist Morad Djabari, Mbappé and Dembélé have already booked their next vacation. The two French superstars are expected to travel together alongside several other France internationals once the competition is over.
“It shows just how close Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé are. They are genuine friends. Even though Dembélé is now a Ballon d’Or winner, he still relies heavily on his role within the French team. He knows that having a fully fit Mbappé is crucial if France wants to go as far as possible in this tournament,” Djabari explained.
The planned getaway highlights the strong bond between the two forwards, who have remained close despite following different club careers. That friendship could prove valuable for France throughout the World Cup. For now, French supporters simply hope that Mbappé, Dembélé and their teammates will not be packing their bags before a potential appearance in the final on July 19.
