Franco Mastantuono is expected to leave Real Madrid temporarily this summer in search of more playing time. Fiorentina currently appear to be leading the race, but three French clubs have also made enquiries about signing the young Argentine on loan.
Mastantuono has no shortage of suitors. At just 18 years old, the Argentine attacking midfielder could be loaned out by Real Madrid during the summer transfer window to continue his development at a club able to offer him more regular minutes.
Three Ligue 1 Clubs Tracking Mastantuono
According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Fiorentina are currently the most advanced club in the talks and are expected to begin direct negotiations with Real Madrid soon. River Plate, where Mastantuono developed, are also monitoring the situation and could consider bringing him back to Argentina temporarily.
In Ligue 1, AS Monaco, Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais have approached either the player’s representatives or Real Madrid. All three clubs view Mastantuono as a player capable of adding creativity, technical quality and attacking flair, while Lyon may hold a slight advantage because of their strong relationship with the Spanish giants following Endrick’s successful loan spell last season.
Real Madrid’s priority is to choose a project that can guarantee significant playing time for their young talent. Although Fiorentina remain in front, interest from Monaco, Marseille and Lyon could still change the situation in the coming days.
