Paris Saint-Germain’s transfer window is still far from over. Speaking to Ligue 1+ on the sidelines of the trip to Rennes, Luis Campos provided an update on the final days of PSG’s summer business. The club’s sporting adviser openly left the door open to further arrivals, but also to several major departures.
PSG still have time, with the transfer window closing on September 1. “The transfer window is not over at all. Even in terms of arrivals, if we find a good opportunity, we will take it,” Campos said. Despite an already significant recruitment drive, Paris continue to monitor the market and could still move if the right sporting or financial opportunity appears.
Campos Keeps the Door Open to More PSG Business
Paris have already strengthened considerably this summer, with Maghnes Akliouche, Ferran Torres, Mika Godts, Lucas Digne and Alessandro Longoni among the players to join Luis Enrique’s squad. However, PSG clearly do not consider their recruitment complete. The club are not expected to sign players simply to add numbers, but instead will wait for a genuine opportunity. The final days of the window could therefore become particularly busy if departures create additional space in the squad.
That uncertainty also surrounds Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, who were both absent from the PSG squad against Rennes. Asked about their futures, Campos stopped short of confirming they would stay. “You mentioned Barcola and Mbaye, we’ll see what happens,” he explained, noting that some deals can suddenly accelerate in the closing stages of the market. A major attacking departure could directly influence PSG’s recruitment plans and force the club back into the market for a replacement.
PSG have already reshaped their squad significantly, with Gonçalo Ramos joining AC Milan, Randal Kolo Muani moving to Juventus and Kang-in Lee signing for Atlético Madrid, while several younger players have also departed on loan or permanent deals. Those moves have generated significant funds and refreshed part of the attacking department. Campos’ comments confirm that PSG are approaching the final stretch of the window with every possibility still open: another signing remains possible, as does a major sale, and the two could be directly connected. After an already eventful summer, Paris may still have one final major surprise in store.
