Aston Villa have made their move for Nicolas Jackson. Unai Emery’s club have reportedly submitted an offer worth around €70 million, including bonuses, to Chelsea for the Senegalese striker. The Blues are now said to be very close to giving the deal the green light.
Aston Villa are ready to spend big on Nicolas Jackson, and the transfer could accelerate in the coming hours. According to information reported by Santi Aouna, Villa have put no less than €70 million on the table for the forward.
Jackson Could Reunite With Unai Emery
Aston Villa must now reach an agreement on personal terms with Nicolas Jackson. The player could be open to a move to Villa Park, especially as it would reunite him with Unai Emery, the coach who handed him his first-team opportunity at Villarreal. The move also comes amid growing uncertainty over Ollie Watkins, who is attracting interest from Al-Hilal. Villa are therefore preparing for a possible departure, with Jackson now emerging as their priority ahead of Jean-Philippe Mateta, for whom Crystal Palace have already rejected an opening offer.
Chelsea, meanwhile, want to sell Jackson permanently following his loan spell at Bayern Munich last season. The Blues had recently valued the striker at around £65 million and would prefer a permanent transfer rather than another loan. With the transfer window approaching its deadline, the two clubs are moving closer to an agreement. If Chelsea formally accept Villa’s offer and personal terms are agreed, Jackson could soon be reunited with Emery in the Premier League.
