Michael Olise’s future could become one of the biggest transfer sagas of 2027. Bayern Munich want to secure the French international’s long-term future with a major contract extension, while Real Madrid and Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close eye on his situation. PSG, however, are absent from the latest reports coming out of Germany.
Olise has established himself as one of Bayern Munich’s key players. Currently under contract until 2029, the 24-year-old French forward could soon be offered a new deal running until 2032. According to SPORT BILD, the Bavarian club plans to open talks after making progress on Harry Kane’s contract situation. Bayern nevertheless expect difficult negotiations, as Olise and his adviser Glen Tweneboah have reportedly given no clear indication that they intend to extend beyond 2029.
Olise could earn up to €25 million per season
Bayern are reportedly prepared to make a considerable financial effort, potentially placing Olise among their highest-paid players alongside Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala. SPORT BILD estimates his current salary at around €14 million per season, with a new contract potentially increasing his earnings to approximately €25 million annually, possibly as early as 2027. Olise’s camp would also reportedly like a release clause included in the new deal. His current contract does not contain one, as Bayern sporting director Max Eberl has previously confirmed, while a future clause could reportedly exceed €200 million.
Competition for Olise remains another factor. SPORT BILD explicitly names Real Madrid and Liverpool among the clubs monitoring his situation, but does not mention Paris Saint-Germain. That does not mean PSG have definitively abandoned their interest: the German outlet does not claim that Paris have withdrawn or decided to give up on Olise. The French champions are simply absent from the list of clubs currently cited as potential suitors.
The saga is therefore far from over. Eberl explained in early September that Bayern want clarity on Olise’s intentions regarding his future by next summer at the latest. If no agreement is reached over an extension, the French international could become one of the most sought-after players of the 2027 transfer window.
