Trent Alexander-Arnold officially unveiled as a Real Madrid player.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was officially presented as a Real Madrid player this Thursday. The 26-year-old England international, a long-time Liverpool star, admitted that Real was the only club he ever dreamed of joining.
To mark the occasion, Trent gave his first speech in Spanish, paying tribute to Xabi Alonso — now his coach — as one of his childhood idols.
A new look: No more “Alexander-Arnold”
Trent leaves behind his iconic No. 66 and the “Alexander-Arnold” jersey. At Real Madrid, he’ll wear No. 12 with just “Trent” on the back.
This is both a personal and strategic move: simplifying his name for global branding. “People call me Alexander, Arnold, Alex or Trent… So I thought it made sense to just keep it simple,” he said.
Trophy ambitions
The Englishman is already focused on silverware, aiming to win the Club World Cup this summer with his new team.
Madridista fans can expect to see a reinvented Trent — still lethal with the ball, but now under the spotlight of the Bernabéu.
