Paris Saint-Germain has secured a deal for Argentine wonderkid Franco Mastantuono—but fans will have to wait a bit before seeing him in action at the Parc des Princes.
According to multiple reliable sources including Fabrizio Romano, Gianluca Di Marzio, and Germán García Grova, PSG has reached an agreement with River Plate for the 17-year-old attacking midfielder, currently under contract until December 2026.
PSG Wins the Race
While Italian side Como had triggered the €45 million release clause, it’s PSG that convinced the player first. The Parisians once again show their South American scouting strength.
Arrival Set for January 2026
Due to FIFA regulations on underage international transfers, Mastantuono will officially join PSG on January 1, 2026, when he turns 18. Until then, he will remain with River Plate to continue his development.
It’s another bold move from the Parisian board, who continue to build for the future with one of Argentina’s brightest prospects.
