The transfer tug-of-war between two European powerhouses is heating up. While Paris Saint-Germain looked to have stolen a march in the race for Franco Mastantuono (17), Real Madrid have come storming back.
Just days ago, the Argentine prodigy seemed bound for Paris—but according to AS and Fabrizio Romano, he has now also given his approval to Los Blancos.
Real Madrid Shift Gears
Initially planning to wait until January, Real were forced to accelerate negotiations after PSG stepped up their pursuit. In response, transfer chief Juni Calafat was dispatched urgently to Buenos Aires with a clear mission: trigger the €45 million release clause and secure the player, leaving him on loan at River Plate until December.
PSG Still in the Race
PSG aren’t giving up without a fight. Luis Enrique, deeply involved in the process, has already spoken with Mastantuono in a bid to tip the scales. But with a verbal agreement reportedly in place with Madrid, the French champions must now raise the stakes if they want to win this battle.
River Plate remain unmoved: €45M or no deal. The race for Argentina’s next big thing is fully on—and it’s PSG versus Real Madrid once again.
