Luis Campos has chosen to step out of the shadows. In response to reports from L’Équipe alleging tensions with Yohann Cabaye inside PSG, the Portuguese sporting advisor decided to react publicly—by appearing on X with a newly revealed account.

According to L’Équipe, the relationship between Campos and Cabaye has become strained, marked by a lack of dialogue and disagreements over the management of the club’s youth development. The article suggests a fracture at the heart of PSG’s academy structure, a version of events Campos has categorically rejected as false.

AI or the real Luis Campos?

The X account quickly gained attention after being followed by reputable journalists such as Loïc Tanzi (L’Équipe), Julian Maynard (PSG) and Fabrice Hawkins (RMC), hinting at unofficial authenticity. Campos then published a firm and direct message: “Hello. As promised, whenever a huge lie aimed at destabilising the club appears, I respond. It’s false, it’s a lie.”

He later insisted that the account was official, posting a photo of himself in front of it. Yet in an era of deepfakes and AI-generated content, caution remains necessary: “I confirm that this account is official.”

Meanwhile, PSG has issued no official confirmation. Internally, sources speak instead of a desire to restructure the academy, maintaining full confidence in Cabaye.

A new communications battle may be underway, and this time, Luis Campos appears ready to confront any attempt to destabilise the club—if it truly is him behind the screen. Fifty-fifty?
