Jürgen Klopp praises PSG: “This is exactly the team I would’ve dreamed of coaching”, he says.
Jürgen Klopp has made no secret of his admiration for Paris Saint-Germain. In an interview with Fútbol y Pizarrón, the former Liverpool manager — now heading the football project for Red Bull, which includes Paris FC — praised Luis Enrique’s PSG for what he called a perfect embodiment of “modern football.”
Klopp was left in awe after PSG’s dominant 5-0 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League final. “Just look at what Dembélé did. People used to say he couldn’t defend — he pressed the goalkeeper 40 times! Every player can do everything. The keeper plays with his feet, the forwards defend,” Klopp said.
But Klopp is tied to… Paris FC
He highlighted the team’s tactical flexibility, technical excellence, and collective commitment, crediting Luis Enrique for building such a cohesive unit. “This is exactly the team I would’ve dreamed of coaching,” the German admitted.
For now, though, Klopp is tied to Paris FC, recently promoted to Ligue 1. It’s a very different challenge, but with Klopp’s eye already on PSG, speculation may heat up — especially if the Luis Enrique era were ever to come to an end.
