The Parc des Princes project is finally moving forward. On Thursday, the first steering committee meeting took place between the City of Paris and Paris Saint-Germain officials, a discussion that could mark a major turning point in the long-running saga surrounding the club’s bid to purchase its iconic stadium.

PSG now appears closer than ever to staying at the Parc des Princes and eventually becoming its owner. During the meeting, the club presented several redevelopment scenarios aimed at transforming the historic venue. The ambitious plan would increase the stadium’s capacity from 48,000 seats to 60,000, or even 70,000, through a large-scale modernization and expansion project.

One thing remains unchanged: PSG is still determined to buy the Parc des Princes. The two-time European champions believe ownership is essential if they are to invest freely in the stadium and develop a venue capable of competing with Europe’s biggest football arenas. After years of stalled negotiations, discussions now appear to be entering a far more concrete phase.
