PSG’s schedule could once again stir controversy. After securing the postponement of their match against Nantes to better prepare for the Champions League, the Parisian club is now reportedly considering delaying their away trip to Lens, scheduled for April 12 for Matchday 29 of Ligue 1.
But on the Lens side, the response already seems clear: there will be no favors for PSG. The northern club has no intention of postponing this highly anticipated clash.
Lens refuses to move a crucial Ligue 1 clash with PSG
The issue for Paris is that Lens vs PSG falls right between the two legs of the Champions League quarterfinals. A real headache for Luis Enrique… but not for the Sang et Or.
According to Dominique Sévérac (Le Parisien), neither Lens nor the league’s broadcaster wants to change the date. With Lens fighting for a European spot, the club has no sporting reason to accept such a postponement.
For now, PSG has not submitted any official request. The match therefore remains scheduled for April 12 at the Bollaert-Delelis stadium.
