PSG and Lens were the big winners at the 2026 UNFP Awards. During the ceremony held on Monday evening at the Palais Brongniart in Paris, several major figures of French football were rewarded after an intense 2025-2026 season.
As expected, Ousmane Dembélé was named Ligue 1 Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. Already a Ballon d’Or winner and recipient of The Best award, the PSG forward also won the Goal of the Season prize thanks to his stunning lob against Lille at the Parc des Princes. Désiré Doué also retained his Young Player of the Year award after another impressive campaign in Parisian colors.

But the surprise of the evening came from Lens. Pierre Sage was voted Ligue 1 Coach of the Year ahead of Luis Enrique after the excellent season produced by the Sang et Or, runners-up to PSG in the league and finalists in the Coupe de France. Robin Risser also received the Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year award.
PSG still remained the most represented club in the Ligue 1 Team of the Season with five selected players: Achraf Hakimi, Willian Pacho, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha and Ousmane Dembélé. In women’s football, the Parisian club also placed Romée Leuchter, Sakina Karchaoui and Griedge Mbock in the Arkema Première Ligue Team of the Season.
Abroad, Michael Olise was named Best French Player Playing Overseas after his successful season with Bayern Munich. Didier Drogba received the UNFP-Fondaction Football Citizen Player award.
