Before Nantes–PSG (0-1), Waldemar Kita offered the European champions an unusual gift: a giant chocolate Champions League trophy and a commemorative frame for Marquinhos.

But it was his unexpected remark, caught on Ligue 1+ microphones, that went viral.

The Nantes president was heard telling the PSG captain: “You Brazilians, you adapt well. You’re Christians, that’s good.” A strange comment in a football context, quickly shared – and often distorted – across social media. Some even claimed he said “You Brazilians, you’re well integrated in France,” but the actual words were different.
