AC Milan: Adrien Rabiot Faces Heavy Sanction

Adrien Rabiot could pay a high price for his outburst during Friday night’s match against Pisa. The AC Milan French midfielder, already booked, received a second yellow card for a foul near his own penalty area, resulting in an immediate dismissal. But it is mainly his behavior after the referee’s decision that is now causing controversy in Italy.

Clearly furious, Rabiot openly showed his anger toward the referee. According to several Italian media outlets, both his words and his attitude could be reclassified as seriously insulting conduct, going beyond a standard sending-off for an accumulation of yellow cards.

This would come at a bad time for Milan, who are involved in a tight title race. A prolonged absence for Rabiot, especially for the derby against Inter, would be a significant loss in midfield and could slow the team’s current momentum despite the win over Pisa.
