He stated, “I’m not one for controversy, but I feel Manchester disrespected me, even in basic courtesies. No one would greet me with a simple hello or good afternoon.”

While he admits his performances weren’t always stellar, he believes the surrounding atmosphere heavily impacted his game. “Everything happening off the pitch affected my play. I take responsibility, but I know my potential. It’s no coincidence I played in the World Cup for Brazil and I’m back in the national team now,” he concluded.
