Harry Kane’s future at Bayern Munich could soon be settled. The England striker has confirmed that talks over a contract extension are scheduled with the Bavarian club’s hierarchy in the coming days. His current deal runs until June 2027.
Freshly named Germany’s 2026 Footballer of the Year, ahead of players including his Bayern teammate Michael Olise, Kane discussed his contractual situation on the sidelines of the German Super Cup. The striker became the first English player to win the award.
Kane in no rush over Bayern extension
“We are going to talk this week and next week. We will simply have an open discussion. There is no rush and no panic,” the Bayern centre-forward explained when asked about his future. The comments are reassuring for the German club as Kane enters the final year of his contract, with the striker insisting his full focus remains on Munich and the new season.

“I am fully focused on Bayern and the new season. Those discussions will take place behind closed doors. You will hear about it when there is something to say,” he added.
At 33, Kane therefore appears to be clearly leaving the door open to an extension. The forward recently explained that he feels particularly comfortable in Germany and no longer has the same immediate desire to return to the Premier League. Bayern will now hope to reach an agreement with their star striker and extend his stay beyond 2027.
