Cristiano Ronaldo has made his decision — and it doesn’t include the Club World Cup. Despite speculation about a surprise appearance with another team, CR7 has officially extended his contract with Al-Nassr, reportedly through to 2027.
No Club World Cup for CR7. In a clear statement, the Portuguese legend ruled out any involvement in the revamped tournament: “It’s practically decided: I won’t play in the Club World Cup,” he told reporters. “I’ve had many invitations, but it’s not part of my plans.”
This comes despite numerous rumors linking him to a potential short-term loan or high-profile cameo with a participating club.
Eyes on National Glory
Instead, Ronaldo is keeping his focus on what could be a final international trophy with Portugal, as the team prepares for the UEFA Nations League final against Spain.
Even at 39, CR7 remains a headline act — but this summer, he’s skipping the global stage to concentrate on national pride and a new season with Al-Nassr.
