José Mourinho has made a bold comeback! Just three weeks after his dismissal from Fenerbahçe and a Champions League exit against Benfica, the Special One returns to the Lisbon bench, 25 years after his first stint.

In a twist of fate, he takes over from Bruno Lage with a clear mission: to restore Benfica’s prestige and support Rui Costa in his election campaign for October 25.

True to his style, Mourinho didn’t hold back during his presentation. “In my worst coaching period, I still reached two European finals in five years,” he stated, adding, “I made a mistake going to Fenerbahçe. Mourinho’s Vision for Benfica

At 62, he claims to be “hungrier than 25 years ago” and insists he will decide when to end his career. He praised Lage’s work while redefining the club’s DNA: “Winning, instilling a mentality, and sacrifice. We represent this people for 90 minutes.”

Realistically, he knows not all fans are thrilled about an ex-Porto coach at Luz. However, he embraces the challenge: his responsibility is clear: “win titles.” Mourinho is back, and he hasn’t lost his hunger… or his sharp tongue.
