Real Madrid defends Jude Bellingham after his controversial red card on Saturday.

Real Madrid is not willing to accept Jude Bellingham’s expulsion (21 years old, 20 matches, 7 goals in La Liga this season)! During Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Osasuna, the English midfielder was sent off by referee Jose Luis Munuera Montero, who claims to have heard a “fuck you” directed at him.

However, Bellingham denies the accusation, insisting that he actually said “fuck off” to himself. While video footage appears to support the player’s version, the referee stands by his report, asserting that he was insulted.

A Heavy Suspension at Stake

Jude Bellingham now faces a suspension of 4 to 12 matches if the disciplinary committee deems his words a direct insult. If instead, they classify it as a mere act of disrespect, the ban would be reduced to just 2 matches.

However, Real Madrid is fighting back. The club plans to launch an appeal to overturn the red card and have the suspension lifted.
