The relationship between the two former Real Madrid teammates seems tense, as CR7 takes a sharp jab from Karim Benzema.
Benzema is dominating the Saudi Pro League, scoring a crucial goal against Al-Hilal and now sharing the league’s top scorer position with Cristiano Ronaldo (16 goals each).
When asked about Ronaldo’s recent claim of being the greatest player in football history, Benzema offered a more measured response. While acknowledging Ronaldo’s talent, he stated that, for him, the real “Ronaldo” is the Brazilian legend.
“Everyone can say what they want. If he thinks he’s the greatest of all time… For me, it’s Ronaldo, the one from Brazil,” Benzema told TNT Sports.
However, he clarified that he avoids comparisons, believing that each player has their own unique journey. “I don’t like comparing players. I think everyone has their own story, and he has his. He’s very good.”
