A nightmare moment for Kevin De Bruyne. Just four days after Napoli’s 6–2 humiliation against PSV in the Champions League, the Italian side was looking to bounce back — and they did on the scoreboard, but at a huge cost.
Facing Inter Milan in a top-of-the-table clash, Napoli took the lead in the 33rd minute through a De Bruyne penalty, won by Giovanni Di Lorenzo. But celebrations quickly turned to panic — the Belgian playmaker suddenly clutched his right hamstring before collapsing to the ground.
In tears, he was forced off, helped by the medical staff, and replaced by Mathias Olivera. Minutes later, De Bruyne was seen back on the bench, on crutches and visibly limping, a worrying sight for Napoli fans.
A cruel blow for Napoli, who nonetheless reclaim top spot in Serie A, but could now be without their star midfielder for several weeks.
