Kylian Mbappé has been absent for several weeks due to a persistent knee injury. The Real Madrid forward took time off to recover and recently returned to Madrid after a short stay in Paris. Television host Cyril Hanouna now claims to have important information regarding the situation.
While some Spanish media outlets mentioned a possible return for the Champions League clash against Manchester City, that scenario now appears unlikely as his sprain is taking longer than expected to heal.
Concerns Growing Over Mbappé’s World Cup Participation
According to several sources, Mbappé has even started worrying about his chances of playing in the World Cup. On his show on W9, Cyril Hanouna also raised concerns, claiming the player should not play again this season if he wants to participate in the tournament.
Hanouna stated that Mbappé traveled to Paris to seek another medical opinion and that the condition of his knee is more serious than initially expected. According to information from a medical source, the only way for him to play in the World Cup would be to stop playing immediately for Real Madrid and focus entirely on strengthening his knee. Otherwise, returning to the pitch too soon could jeopardize his participation in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Spanish outlet Cadena SER reports that Mbappé will not play again until he is fully recovered. However, other Spanish sources claim the opposite, suggesting that the French star could return to action within the next few days.
