During their upcoming tour in the United States, the French national team could face a strengthened Brazilian side. Neymar and Endrick are both included in Carlo Ancelotti’s preliminary squad for the friendly match against France scheduled for March 26.
According to reports from Globo, Neymar could make his long-awaited return to the national team. The Santos forward has not worn Brazil’s jersey since October 18, 2023, when he suffered a serious knee injury against Uruguay during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Neymar comeback and Endrick opportunity in Brazil squad
Despite several physical setbacks since then, the 34-year-old star remains on Carlo Ancelotti’s radar, with the Italian coach planning to observe him during a Santos match against Mirassol.
Rodrygo’s serious injury has freed up a spot in Brazil’s squad, potentially opening the door for Endrick. Loaned from Real Madrid to Lyon, the 19-year-old striker is now getting more playing time as he tries to convince the national team coach.
After promising early performances in France, Endrick is currently going through a tougher spell. His appearance against Paris FC (1-1) highlighted his struggles, and some observers have already criticized his individualistic style. Carlo Ancelotti will therefore have to make the final decision when he announces Brazil’s official squad next Monday.
