Paul Pogba (32) could rejoin full training with AS Monaco sooner than expected. Sidelined since September 2023 after testing positive for testosterone metabolites, the 2018 World Cup winner signed with the club until June 2027 to revive his career.
Currently in the reconditioning phase, Pogba is making strong progress. “He’s done a very good rehabilitation, he’s getting closer, but we need to remain cautious,” said coach Adi Hütter ahead of the clash with Le Havre, noting that Ansu Fati is currently closer to a comeback.
Upon his arrival, the former Juventus man sounded optimistic: “I feel very good, the staff is taking great care of me, it’s just a matter of time.” Hütter hopes to see him back in training within two weeks.
If that timeline holds, Pogba could make his Ligue 1 debut in September — almost two years after his last competitive match.
