PSG may have let its players go on holiday—but these are no ordinary holidays. With the UEFA Super Cup against Tottenham set for August 13 in Udine, the club has put its stars on a strict pre-season program, even while they’re away.
According to Le Parisien, the players received customized and intense training plans, designed by PSG’s performance staff to maintain peak fitness. This includes running, strength training, cycling, core work, technical drills, and shooting exercises—all tailored to each player’s specific needs, but within a unified schedule.
Short Break, Full Focus
The squad was given a one-week total break, but from July 28, the engine was reignited. PSG has even pushed back its official return to training to August 6, giving players extra time to recover physically and mentally—while still preparing at full speed.
PSG: The Team to Beat
With a packed calendar ahead—Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, and Ligue 1—Luis Enrique knows there’s no time to waste. Georgian national team fitness coach Fabien Bossuet praised the Spaniard’s approach: “He always made time for rest when possible. That’s not just good management—it’s smart.”
As PSG gears up for another demanding season, the balance between intensity and mental well-being will be key. The message is clear: the French giants are aiming to hit the ground running—and they’ll be the team to beat in 2025–26.
