Medhi Benatia, Marseille’s sporting director, has seen his three-month suspension (plus three months with a suspended sentence) upheld after his appeal was rejected by the FFF’s disciplinary commission.
The punishment stems from his behavior toward the fourth official following OM’s Coupe de France loss to Lille (1-1, 3-4 on penalties) on January 14. Already under a suspended sanction for a previous incident against Lyon, Benatia now faces a confirmed ban.
Despite this setback, he still has the option to contest the ruling further, though his chances of overturning the decision appear slim.
