The July 14th fireworks were expected to honor PSG’s historic season. In the end, fans got… nothing. And they’re not hiding their frustration.
It was all set: a tribute to PSG during Paris’s iconic Bastille Day fireworks. After winning the Champions League, fans were hoping for one last thrill. But when the show lit up the Eiffel Tower sky on Monday night—no chants, no club visuals. Nothing.
Instead, artistic performances by Zaho de Sagazan, Matthieu Chedid, and Vanessa Paradis stole the show. Not a single nod to the Rouge et Bleu, despite being the pride of the capital this season. Even the finale titled “Paris” skipped any PSG reference.
“Not even a song or a picture?”
On social media, fans vented their disappointment: “Not even a song or a picture? That’s just sad.” A missed tribute that only deepens the rift between the Paris city hall and PSG—still at odds over the Parc des Princes ownership saga.
For PSG supporters, this Bastille Day was a missed opportunity—and another symbolic snub from their own city.
