The first details about PSG’s 2027-28 home kit are beginning to emerge, along with an initial concept created by renowned kit insider grhaer9. The biggest change? A much brighter shade of blue and a dramatically redesigned Hechter stripe.
PSG’s next home shirt is already starting to take shape. Its official unveiling is still a long way off, but the first indications regarding Nike’s chosen colors offer an early glimpse of the direction the American sportswear brand could take. And the change could be quite noticeable. After several kits featuring very dark shades, Nike is expected to opt for a “Bright Blue,” much lighter and closer to royal blue. Grhaer9 has used these early details to imagine what the future Paris shirt could look like.
A Completely Redesigned Hechter Stripe
The most striking change concerns the center of the shirt. The iconic Hechter stripe would not disappear. On the contrary, it could once again become one of the kit’s main features, but with a much more modern interpretation. In the concept, a red stripe runs vertically down the shirt before gradually blending into the blue through a blurred gradient effect, with subtle white touches completing the design. Nike would therefore retain PSG’s three historic colors while moving significantly away from the classic stripe created by Daniel Hechter in the 1970s.
Another feature likely to attract attention is the collar. The concept includes a white fold-over collar, giving the shirt a somewhat retro appearance despite the very modern treatment of the central stripe. The Nike Swoosh would also be white, while the PSG crest would retain its traditional colors. Qatar Airways appears as the main sponsor on this initial interpretation. The combination of the much brighter blue, white collar and gradient red stripe would give the 2027-28 shirt a very different identity from those of recent seasons.
However, the image currently circulating is not a photo of the final shirt or a leak of an actual Nike product. Grhaer9 created this prediction based on the first available information about the colors and general direction of the future kit, meaning the final design could differ significantly. The early information does nevertheless point toward a bright blue shirt featuring red elements. Fans will have to wait several more months to see the real version, with Nike expected to officially unveil and release PSG’s 2027-28 home kit in May 2027. One trend is already emerging: Paris could return to a significantly brighter blue while introducing another fresh take on its iconic Hechter stripe.
