PSG is entering a week that resembles a trap: three away games, two major competitions, and a quick round trip to Doha. An exhausting pace as the group is already showing signs of fatigue and the risk of injury looms heavily over the squad.

On Monday, December 8, they return to the PSG Campus for a closed training session, away from prying eyes, to try to recharge their batteries before the devastating sequence ahead.

On Tuesday, the trip to Bilbao marks the start of the marathon. At San Mamés, Athletic Club and PSG will hold press conferences, before the Parisians offer fifteen minutes of training to the media. A compressed rhythm, with no real breaks, that is already starting to weigh on the players.

On Wednesday, December 10, the tension rises further: a hostile trip, a decisive Champions League match against Bilbao at 9 PM, followed by post-match media obligations. A high-intensity evening for a group already physically drained.

Back in Paris, there is no respite. On Thursday and Friday, two closed training sessions to prepare for Metz, but also to manage the players’ fitness levels. The medical staff is on edge: the slightest muscle alert can become a headache.

On Saturday, they travel to Saint-Symphorien to face Metz at 7 PM in the 16th round of Ligue 1. Another match, another trip, another physical and mental burden. Luis Enrique will have to deal with the accumulated fatigue and the eternal dilemma: preserve his key players or maintain the competitive rhythm.

And it’s not over. On Sunday, December 14, PSG flies to Doha to compete in the Intercontinental Cup. Another long-distance expedition that increases the risk of injury and leaves little room for recovery.

A suffocating week, where PSG is playing on all fronts… but also with the physical limits of its squad. Burnout is lurking, and the slightest failure could be costly.
