PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has been forced into surgery after a heavy injury. The club’s boss was hospitalized this week in Paris following a padel accident that left him with a fractured wrist and shoulder damage.
Although he attended Wednesday’s win against Tottenham at the Parc des Princes, he was unable to travel with the team to Monaco. Before a scheduled trip to Doha for several Formula 1–related meetings, Al-Khelaïfi underwent surgery on Thursday in the French capital. Post-operation pain prevented him from flying again until Saturday.
20 injuries and counting
This adds yet another chapter to PSG’s unbelievable season of injuries. After Luis Enrique – who himself needed shoulder surgery following a cycling accident – the president has now joined the casualty list.
Paris has already suffered more than twenty player injuries… and now two members of the staff are down as well, with only one-third of the campaign completed.
