What if the future of PSG was written without Luis Enrique in a few months? Officially linked to the club until 2027, the Spanish coach has been performing wonders since his arrival and has given the club its first Champions League title.

This is a nightmare for supporters. PSG without Luis Enrique. And it may come sooner than we think. The Spanish coach does not see himself continuing in Paris after 2027. According to Daniel Riolo on RMC, there is no need to get carried away: for him, Enrique will not stay long-term and dreams of a return to Barça, his beloved club. “He is 100% Barça. He is someone who moves a lot,” said the consultant on France Bleu, convinced that the coach could refuse to extend his contract.

Mikel Arteta, the new strongman of PSG?

Having played for PSG in 2001-2002, Arteta has an emotional connection with the club and would be tempted if the opportunity arose. “He appreciates Paris, he has been through the club, he would also perhaps like to coach PSG one day,” confirms Hawkins.

The timing makes the scenario even more intriguing: Arteta is also under contract until 2027, just like Luis Enrique. If the Spaniard leaves Paris in two years, the succession already seems to be in place. And behind the scenes, some are starting to believe it.
