Casemiro praises Mbappé and acknowledges his exceptional talent, but he also admits to being completely surprised by the French star.
In an interview with AS, Casemiro expressed his admiration for Kylian Mbappé. The former Real Madrid player, now at Manchester United, highlighted the French forward’s impressive level and his impact on world football.
When asked about comparisons with Cristiano Ronaldo, the Brazilian recalled their last encounter in the Champions League at Parc des Princes. He described Mbappé as “unstoppable,” a player capable of making the difference at any moment, with remarkable consistency, rarely dropping below a very high level of performance.
“I’ll tell you one thing: Mbappé is an unstoppable player. The last time I faced him was in the Champions League at Parc des Princes in Paris. He put us through hell. We lost 1-0 because of his goal, but it was incredible. He is the kind of footballer who will go down in history. You can’t expect him to always be at 9/10, but he never drops below 7.5 or 8. He has spoiled us with excellence,” said the Brazilian international.
A surprising statement, considering Mbappé had a tough six months with Real Madrid. However, since the start of 2025, everything has changed, and KM appears to be back to his best.
